All Sandwiches – made by hand

We understand the importance of clear, straightforward labelling so that our customers know exactly what they are buying and can trust us. Our commitment to freshly prepared ingredients and generous amounts of filling mean that as well as lovely, tasty wholemeal breads, you’ll find these sandwiches bursting with fresh ingredients including carrots, onions, cucumbers, peppers, rocket salad and tomatoes.

Rather than a commercially produced spread, we prefer to use our specially prepared homemade Tofu spread which contains just the right combination of tofu, sunflower oil, lemon juice, salad onions, mint, sea salt, turmeric and black pepper to enhance the fillings. As well as being delicious, we know exactly what goes into it and it adds depth to our sandwiches which makes them distinctive.

HOUMOUS SALAD SANDWICH – VEGAN – 180G

Eaten throughout the Middle East for hundreds of years and for sound dietary reasons: houmous is high in iron and vitamin C, with significant amounts of folate and vitamin B6. The chickpeas make it a good source of protein and dietary fibre whilst the sesame seeds are an excellent source of the amino acid methionine. Houmous is useful in vegetarian and vegan diets as, when eaten with bread, it serves as a complete protein. It’s also extremely Moorish!

Wholemeal bread 37% (wholemeal flour, water, salt, yeast), houmous 26% (chickpeas, sesame seeds), cucumbers, red peppers, garlic, fresh salad leaves, sunflower spread (sunflower oil, water, sea salt). VEG STIR FRY SANDWICH – VEGAN – 180G

Quite simply a unique sandwich. Heavenly, for Vegans and non-Vegans alike.

Ingredients:

Wholemeal bread 37% (wholemeal flour, water, salt, yeast), stir-fried vegetables 52% (carrots, onions, peppers, tomatoes, cabbage), parsley, coriander, homemade tofu mayo (GM-free soya beans, organic lemon juice, olive oil, black pepper, sea salt), fresh salad leaves, sunflower spread (sunflower oil, water, sea salt).

Sometimes only a cheese sandwich will hit the spot and thankfully, the filling is extremely generous and it is nothing remotely like the limp offerings you sometimes see in ready-prepared sandwiches!

MOZZARELLA AND AVOCADO 180G

With the green of the ripe avocado, the pure white of the Mozzarella and the ruby red of the tomatoes, this sandwich is close to the heart of the Bella Laura herself!

FREE RANGE EGG & ONION 180G

A classic sandwich filling given our own twist: the secret’s in the taste combination of the freshest of Organic free range eggs with salad onions and our homemade Tofu spread. Simply delicious!

SMOKED TOFU SANDWICH – VEGAN – 180G

Tofu has long been a feature of Asian cuisine and is very important in the vegetarian Buddhist diet. This is an unusual and delicious sandwich with the benefit of being low in calories whilst relatively high in Iron.

Did you know that Chickpeas are not only high in protein but one of the earliest cultivated vegetables in the world and have been traced back 7,500 years? Ours are not that old but still as good for you!

Tuna, sweet corn and mayo is surely a match made in Heaven . . . but only when the tuna is dolphin friendly so we make sure our suppliers always are.

An inventive twist on an egg sandwich. I tried it and Je ne regrette rien!

HOUMOUS ON RYE – VEGAN – 180G

We’ve been snooping and asked Laura what was her favourite sandwich choice? You’ve guessed it: she went for the rye! Why? Well, as she puts it: “Some customers are put off by the dark colour of the bread but once they taste it – Wow! And we all need to be weaned off white or processed bread and eat plenty of unrefined grains in our diet to be healthy. I use a variety of grains throughout my product range and love to hear what customers think of them.” Rye also has a lower gluten content than wheat flour.

The simplicity of a few well-chosen ingredients makes this a classic salmon sandwich.
